CLAIMS PROCEDURES - please read carefully and complete the form and procedures below-
All policies of insurance contain conditions regarding claims procedure which set out your rights and duties, as well as the insurer, in the event of a claim. It is important therefore to be well acquainted with the action to be taken which is as follows:
- Please notify us promptly (not more than 30 days) of any incident which may result in a claim. The below form serves as Notification of a claim. Give a brief description of the event in the “What happened” box. Ensure you receive a return email assigning your Claims liaison person.
- Download the relevant Claim form below &, if necessary, the Police Report form; for the Insurance company your policy is with.
- Complete the Claim form & Upload using instructions below
- Complete the Police report (where necessary), go to the nearest Police station, get the Police to complete the relevant sections, stamp & sign, then Upload below.
- Get 3 quotes for repair of the damaged property and Upload.
- Upload a copy of Driver's licence (both sides), for vehicle accidents.
- You will be contacted by an Assessor to view the damage & property at your convenience.
- You will then be authorised regarding repairs and/or replacement of insured goods, and/or payment of Claim.
DO NOT REPAIR WITHOUT OUR AUTHORISATION - THIS WILL LEAD TO A 1% of CLAIM LIMIT FOR SELF AUTHORIZATION!
IMPORTANT - IN EVERY CASE ENSURE PHOTOGRAPHS ARE TAKEN OF THE AREA, SCENE, AND DAMAGE. THIS GREATLY ASSISTS WITH CLAIMS, ASSESSMENT, POLICE REPORTS & LEGAL REQUIREMENTS.
LIABILITY - AS SOON AS YOU ARE AWARE OF ANY EVENT LIKELY TO GIVE RISE TO A CLAIM FROM A 3RD PARTY, PLEASE NOTIFY US HERE. DO NOT WAIT UNTIL A LETTER OF DEMAND OR A SUMMONS IS ISSUED.
